Frank Renton presents music especially recorded for the programme by Co-operative Funeral Care Band.
Under conductor Archie Hutchison they will perform the famous ‘Entry of the Gladiators’, ’Cry me a River’, the peaceful ‘Mid All The Traffic’ and two numbers from West Side Story – ‘Mambo’ and ‘Somewhere’.

Four players from the Semi Final of the Radio 2 Young Brass Soloist will make it through to the Final.
Tonight, in the first of two programmes, Frank Renton presents highlights of this exciting stage which sees the players accompanied by Rothwell Temperance Band conducted by Michael Fowles.
