The Rainford Band has welcomed three new players to the ranks in the last couple of months.

Trio

Phillippa Coulson has joined from Skelmersdale on percussion, Jack Rowlands comes in on second baritone from St Helens Youth Band and Rebecca Somers takes the flugel chair after playing with the BT Band and Pennine Brass.

MD Neil Samuel told 4BR: "I’m absolutely over the moon to be able to welcome Phillippa, Jack, and Rebecca to the band. We have not only gained three excellent players but we have gained three fantastic bandsmen too."

Neil also took the opportunity to thank Cath Gaskell and Gill Lea Wilson for their commitment to the band over the last few years after they announced their intention to move to pastures new.
