Following the success of last year's inaugural event, Richard Marshall is currently putting the finishing touches to the second cornet 'spotlight' day to be held at Leeds Town Hall in May.

Richard told 4BR: "Last year's event was brilliant. The response we got from everyone involved gave me a real boost — and a bit of a fright as most of the players were so good!"

Further information will be published in due course, but Richard anticipates that the day will include a masterclass, massed cornet ensemble and surprise guests.

"We want to maximise what each of the delegates can get out of the day," he added.

Leeds Town Hall will host the event on Sunday 15th May. Registration will be at 9.00am and the spotlight will conclude at 12.30pm.
