Champion send off for Cory

European champion set for hard working send off before Montreux defence.

Cory

The defending European Champion Cory will be working hard almost to the last minute before they fly to Switzerland to defend their title at the Stravinsky Auditorium in Montreux later this month.

Hosts

On Tuesday 26th April they will be hosting the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama ‘Brass with the Champions’ course.

This vibrant event offers young brass band musicians the opportunity to work with tutors selected from the RWCMD Band in Residence and musicians from the outstanding RWCMD Brass Band.

Participants will work in sectionals with specialist brass band tutors before joining Dr Robert Childs in the full brass band for a performance, which will be attended by international trombone star Christian Lindberg.

Having the opportunity to work with such a performer as Christian Lindberg is something not to be missed, and all the Cory players are hoping to pick up a few tips before we fly to MontreuxMD, Dr Robert Childs

Popular

Cory MD Robert Childs told 4BR that the players are looking forward to passing on their experience to as many people as possible: "The event has proven to be very popular and we are looking forward to a great turn out once again. Having the opportunity to work with such a performer as Christian Lindberg is something not to be missed, and all the Cory players are hoping to pick up a few tips before we fly to Montreux."
