Tuba virtuoso Steve Sykes is currently in Lieksa, Finland where he is visiting guest artist at the world famous Lieksa Brass Festival.

Jury member

Steve is part of the jury for the 2nd Lieksa International Euphonium Competition, an event that draws competitors from all parts of the world. This year the field includes performers from as far a field as Korea, France, USA, England and Belgium.

Recitals

During the week Steve will also perform recitals, concerts and give masterclass sessions to all participants across various venues.

Also appearing in the festival are Allen Vizzutti (trumpet), Frank Lloyd (French horn), Brian Bowman and Tormod Flaten (euphonium) and Juan Carlos Matamoros (trombone).
