Grimethorpe returns from Oz tour

Grimethorpe Colliery Band has returned home after their sell out Australian tour.

Grimethorpe

Grimethorpe Colliery Band has landed back in the UK after an amazingly successful tour of Australia where they played to sell out audiences from Perth to Sydney.

Well worth the jet lag

And despite the long haul trip back to blighty which included a final 4-hour bus trip from London to the bandroom, the jet lag was well worthwhile as the lads reminded their southern hemisphere fans just why they are regarded as the premier entertainment band in the world.

The band was on top form throughout, and I’m sure we could have added another dozen concert dates to the tour such was the interest we createdAndy Lockett

Fantastic experience

Band spokesperson Andy Lockett told 4BR: "It’s been a fantastic experience. The reception the band received wherever we went was amazing, with a warm welcome before we took to the stage and a few cold beers after we played. The band was on top form throughout, and I’m sure we could have added another dozen concert dates to the tour such was the interest we created."
