Co-op set for European return

Co-operative Funeralcare will represent Scotland at the 2012 European Championships in Rotterdam.

4BR has been informed that the Co-operative Funeralcare Band has accepted the opportunity to represent Scotland at the 2012 European Championships.

With 2011 Scottish Champion, Exchange Communications Whitburn, unable to take up invitation to compete in Rotterdam from the European Brass Band Association, the band, which came runner up in Perth earlier in the year, has revealed that a formal invitation from EBBA has been accepted and preparations have already started to attend the prestigious event.

The chance to perform at this outstanding competition is great opportunity for every member of the band and we look forward to representing Scotland with prideBand Chairman, Paul Kiernan
