Brits keep putting brass into Spain

The JB Band Costa Blanca is doing its bit to keep the ex-pats entertained...

The Spanish economy may well be going down the swanee, but at least the Brits are keeping their stiff upper lips in good shape — thanks to the JB Costa Blanca Brass Band.

Entertained

The band which contains seven players over the age of 70, has been keeping the ex-pats and locals entertained for many years, and despite the recent down turn in the sun, sea and sand economy they remain a popular attraction at local music festivals.

The band recently performed at the International Band Festival in Torrevieja with a line up that included Lyndon Baglin on 2nd euph and David Pogson on solo cornet.

We have our contacts over here and hope to carry on making great music for people on the Costa Blanca for many years to comeMD, Ian Tinsley

Carry on

MD Ian Tinsley told 4BR: "We have our contacts over here and hope to carry on making great music for people on the Costa Blanca for many years to come."
