Howley returns to Rothwell

Michael Howley makes euphonium return to Rothwell Temperance.

Michael Howley has been appointed the new solo euphonium at Rothwell Temperance following the news of the departure of Andy Marsh to take up a new work post in Russia.

Michael returns to the band after being an integral part in their rise up through the sections in the mid 1990’s, before he went on to play for Fairey as well as the YBS Band under David King and Brighouse & Rastrick.

Michael said: "I've really missed playing in the big competitions recently, and when Dave called me to see if I'd be interested I snapped his hand off. I obviously know Rothwell well. They are a fantastic band with a great atmosphere and ethos, full of good people. I'm really looking forward to getting going."
