The Blackburn & Darwen Band has announced a trio of new signings.

Katie Littler joins on first horn, bringing a wealth of experience after many years with Pemberton Old Band, whilst Rachel Allen comes in on solo trombone. Rachel recently received a scholarship to the RNCM and has played with the National Youth Band of Great Britain.

Another National Youth principal player, Josh Cirtina joins on bass trombone from Morcambe Band.

Sue Speakman told 4BR: "We are delighted to have them all talented players in board. We would also like to thank Jim Bone who has been a dedicated bass trombone player for us but has had to take a step back due to the arrival of his second child, Lucy."
