The Blackburn & Darwen Band has announced the signing of rising cornet star Luke Dempsey as their new repiano player.

Luke is a member of the Junior RNCM Band and the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.

Band Chairperson Sharon Meredith told 4BR: "We are very pleased to have Luke on board and look forward to supporting him as he progresses through his studies."
