Richardson takes the helm at Fulham

Baritone star Rob Richardson takes the baton at Fulham Brass.

After a lengthy audition process, Fulham Brass band has announced the appointment of Rob Richardson as their new Musical Director.

Respected

The highly respected baritone star has played with the likes of YBS, Black Dyke, Foden’s and Grimethorpe in his playing career and was a former principal baritone and euphonium with the National Youth Band of Scotland and principal baritone with National Youth Band of Great Britain.

In 2009 Rob moved to London and has since played with Zone One Brass.

Thrilled

Band spokesperson Lucy Jackson, told 4BR: "We are all thrilled to have Rob on board and welcome him into our hardworking team! The band is extremely ambitious, with some exciting projects ahead and we look forward to Rob being at the helm."

Rob added: "I’m really pleased to have been appointed as MD. During the audition process I was struck by the band's work ethic and quality of playing, so am very excited about the opportunity to work with them."

Rob joins the band as they prepare for an extensive summer programme of concerts and the Wychavon Festival of Brass in September.
