The Pilling Band has announced the signing of Alex Fishpool on solo cornet.

A spokesperson told 4BR: “Alex is the first signing under new MD John Roberts and hopefully won’t be the last. We are pleased to welcome Alex into the band and hopefully he can be the first of many signing to move the band forward.”

Alex joins after a break from playing and his first engagement was a march at Preesall & Knott End Gala.
