Every little helps....

Even Tesco has been showing a bit of festive banding spirit.... and beer

West Midlands Fellowship

The very active West Midlands Divisional Fellowship Band of the Salvation Army is certainly clocking up the engagements this Christmas.

Tesco

As well as performing at three Christmas ‘Songs Of Praise’, the switching on Warwick and Kenilworth Christmas lights, a concert in Upper Gornal and a number of jobs bringing Christmas to various pensioners groups under the leadership of Bandmaster Charles King, the band has also found itself in Tesco’s Megastore in Dudley supporting the local corps.

Somebody was obviously blessed with a sense of humour when they chose the location within the store for the band to playDavid Birch

Welcome

The band were made most welcome with coffee, biscuits and a cooked lunch all provided by the Tesco staff, and as a result thoroughly enjoyed their five hour stint on each of the two days they spent there.

As David Birch told 4BR: "Somebody was obviously blessed with a sense of humour when they chose the location within the store for the band to play."
