New signing at Carlton Main

Carlton Main welcomes new addition to the ranks.

Carlton Main

The Carlton Main Frickley Colliery Band has welcomed the signing of euphonium player Christian Dullea from rivals Marsden Silver. He joins the Yorkshire band on second euphonium.

Student

Christian is currently studying in his first year at the Royal Northern College of Music, receiving professional tuition from David Thornton and also guidance from Steven Mead. He replaces Ben Roberts who has decided to concentrate on his studies in his final year at Huddersfield University.

Christian feels that being at the RNCM will help him to flourish as a musician and give him a diverse knowledge of the instrument he playsCarlton Main Frickley

Thanks

A band spokesperson told 4BR: "Christian feels that being at the RNCM will help him to flourish as a musician and give him a diverse knowledge of the instrument he plays.

We hope to add to that too, whilst we thank Ben for all his hard work and commitment over the last few years with us. He has been an outstanding member of the band and we wish him well with his studies."
