Organisers Newtown Silver Band has announced a slight change to the format (including the title) for the Newtown (Mid Wales) March & Open Air Contest to be held in the Mid Wales town on Sunday 9th June.
Quick march
As last year, there will be a ‘Quick March’ along the High Street to be followed by performances of an own choice Hymn Tune, own choice Quick March, followed by one own choice entertainment piece in the local park venue, with a total playing time of around 15 minutes.
The music adjudication will be closed and the contest will once again be open to Second, Third, Fourth, Unregistered and Youth/Training bands.
