Salvation call

If you once attended the old Central & West Yorkshire or South Yorkshire Divisional Music School then someone wants to meet you again...

Former players who attended the old Central & West Yorkshire or South Yorkshire Divisional Music School are being asked to get together for something of a special reunion later this year.

Huge impact

Bandmaster Craig Buchan of Leeds Central Corps, who is on the organising committee, told 4BR: "For many of us our time at music school and the relationships we formed there has had a huge impact on our lives."

He added: "I’m sure that those of us, who attended the old Central & West Yorkshire or South Yorkshire Divisional Music Schools, or the more recently combined Yorkshire School of Christian Arts, would like to relive many of those happy memories."

Reunion event

As a result, a team at the Yorkshire Divisional Headquarters are in the process of arranging a reunion event for anyone who has attended these schools since their inception in the early 1970s.

The event is scheduled for Saturday 20th April and will be held in Doncaster at The Salvation Army, Booth Avenue, Doncaster, DN4 5JN.

For many of us our time at music school and the relationships we formed there has had a huge impact on our livesCraig Buchan

Opportunity

Craig added: "It will provide a fantastic opportunity for anyone who has attended these events to catch up with old friends and relive the ‘good old days’ of Music School / YSCA from the past."
