NABBC aims to lead from the front

The National Association of Brass Band Conductors looks to the future with new proposals and website.

Andrew White

Andrew White, Chairman of the National Association of Brass Band Conductors has announced that the organisation has started to implement a number of new changes which, he hopes will have a positive impact upon its growing membership.

Promoting

Andrew (above) told 4BR: "The NABBC was formed in 1946 with the objectives of promoting and representing the interests of its members and providing an effective organisation – and this is very much the ethos today.

However, we wish to continue to reach out to conductors, and so we have radically overhauled our ongoing aims and objectives with policies which I believe will have a significant positive impact on new and current members."

Overhaul

One of the first major overhauls has come with the organisation’s new website, which has been brought up to date to provide greater clarity.

Andrew added: "This is just one of the many new initiatives we are taking to improve interaction between ourselves and members and we welcome feedback either online or personally from conductors at any level, and hope to be able to invite them to out 2013 conference."
