Flowers have finally solved their soprano vacancy by signing star performer Paul Richards from Brunel Brass.

Newly crowned West of England Regional Champion Flowers has announced the signing of soprano star Paul Richards.

Meteoric

The talented performer made his banding name as principal cornet of the Sun Life Band, before becoming an integral part of the success of Brunel Brass, who he helped rise from the Fourth to the Championship Section in six meteoric years, collecting four regional and two National titles on the way.

Paul made his final contest appearance with Brunel at the West of England Championships last weekend, competing against his new band.

Fantastic journey

He told 4BR: "It’s been a fantastic journey with Brunel with such unbelievable success in such a short period of time. I am incredibly proud to have been part of what the band under John Winterflood’s inspirational direction has achieved.

However, I’m now looking forward to playing at the very highest level again with Flowers."

New signings

The new champions have also announced the signing of Eb Bass Player Rob Graham-White who joins from Cory.

Band Manager Lee Downie told 4BR: "We are really pleased to welcome both Paul and Rob to the ranks. They bring with them a great amount of experience that will only add to our strong line up as we look forward to the Grand Shield in May."
