Blidworth Welfare Band is celebrating a return to the National Finals thanks to securing a podium finish in the First Section at the Midlands Regional in Bedworth.

Hard working

A hard working third place saw them join champions Staffordshire and runner-up Foresters Brass 2000 is providing the region with a trio of string contenders at Cheltenham in September.

Musical Director, Martin Heartfield told 4BR: "They did all I asked, played to the best of their abilities, and were justly rewarded. I’m very proud to be associated with such a fine, hardworking band."

Qualifying for the National Finals is as much for our many supporters in the local area as is it for band itselfBand Chairman, Richard Gallimore

Sponsorship

The Band has recently been granted sponsorship opportunities from Midlands Funeral Directors, AW Lymn’s.

Band Chairman, Richard Gallimore added: "Qualifying for the National Finals is as much for our many supporters in the local area as is it for band itself.

We are pleased in our first year of sponsorship to carry the Lymn’s name to the National Finals."
