The North West Regional Committee has informed 4BR of the official list of bands that are eligible to be invited to compete at the National Finals at the Royal Albert Hall and Cheltenham following the Area contest in Blackpool last month.

Invitations

A spokesperson told 4BR: "In order to clarify the situation with regard to the qualifiers from the North West Regional Championships held on 10th March, the Regional Committee are now able to issue the final list of those bands who have received invitations."

The bands that are eligible to be invited all competed in accordance with the current National Rules in relation to the use of Brass Band Players registration cards.

They added: "The two bands not invited have accepted the decision of Kapitol Promotions on this matter, as has the Regional Committee. It should also be pointed out that both bands were aware of this possibility before they took part in the Championships on the day."
