Miners wanted in South Wales!

The popular Miners Welfare Entertainment Contest is looking for bands from mining communities to battle it out in Porthcawl.

Entry schedules are now available for the popular Miners Welfare Entertainment Contest, which will be held at the Grand Pavilion, Porthcawl on September 15th.

Designed

Designed to give Section 2, 3 & 4 bands the opportunity to give an extended 20 entertainment programme it is open to bands from a coal mining community, and with a first prize of £600, plus other awards for entertainment, best soloist and highest placed section bands, it has already become a welcome fixture on the busy Welsh banding calendar.
