Lofthouse B Band has announced the appointment of their new conductor Jayne Richardson.

Considerable experience

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Jayne comes to the band with considerable orchestral background, and is looking forward to entering the brass banding world.

She brings an excellent wealth of knowledge and experience to us, and everyone is looking forward to working with her."

Jayne has taken over from Peter Kitson, who will continue to teach and give mentor players from the B Band as well as assisting Jayne.
