Dobcross Youth double up with Foden's

The lucky youngsters of Dobcross Youth Band enjoy a double workshop and concert day with Foden's.

Fodens in action

Players from Foden's Band recently carried out a coaching day following an invitation from Dobcross Youth Band and their conductor Jonathan Parkes.

Joint

The event was led by Helen Williams, Chris Haigh, Glyn Williams, John Barber and Stuart Baglin, who worked on various pieces that were to be performed by the band in a joint concert with the Double Champions at Uppermill later that night.

Speaking about the event Foden's John Barber told 4BR: "We had a very enjoyable day working with the talented youngsters. The playing and general behaviour has been a credit to the Dobcross Youth Band and they certainly have a great future ahead of them."

Massed number

The concert at Uppermill was played in front of packed audience which featured Dobcross Youth performing at the start of the first and second half before joining Foden’s in a massed number to conclude the event.
