Bestwood Welfare Black Diamonds has announced the appointment of Colin Hartley as their new Musical Director.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Colin brings a wealth of experience to the band, and we are all looking forward to playing under his direction."

Having played with the Band of HM Royal Marines and then joining the police service in Scotland, Colin has also performed with a number of Scottish Championship bands before moving south.
