Enfield Citadel Band has announced the arrival of several new members.

Andrew Lofthouse, lead trumpeter in the RAF Squadronnaires, and a member of the RAF Central Band has joined on solo cornet alongside principal cornet Maurice Patterson.

Wealth of experience

A spokesperson told 4BR: "Andrew brings a wealth of experience having studied trumpet at the RNCM and in Norway. He has also been a former member of the National Youth Brass Band, Foden’s and a busy trumpeter within the big band scene.

He recently he won a coveted solo award within the RAF and will as the soloist with the RAF massed bands on their forthcoming tour."

Percussion duo

Other new members to the Corps include Steve Moulton and Nathan Cole on percussion.

Steve is a former timpanist with the Coldstream Guards and the ISB whilst Nathan is another previous member of the ISB and the former Bandmaster of Bristol Easton SA Band.
