Great success for Virtuosi East Anglian Trainers

Tutors from the Virtuosi GUS Band lead a successful training day in East Anglia.

The East Anglian Brass Band Association recently held its annual Brass Training Day at the Hewett School in Norwich.

Expertise

50 delegates from the age of 11 upwards enrolled on the course and certainly enjoyed benefiting from the advice and expertise of tutors from Virtuosi GUS Band.

The course leader was Chris Jeans, who was helped by sectional tutors Peter Collins, James Fountain, Nathan Waterman, Mark Giles and Robin Norman.

Music studied

The music studied included ‘Death or Glory’, ‘Georgia On My Mind’, ‘Deep Harmony’, ‘Around the World in 80 Days’ and ‘The Great Gate of Kiev’.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "The day was very enjoyable and constructive, and the delegates were privileged to accompany Peter Collins in the trumpet solo ‘Georgia on My Mind’."
