Most of the players have been helping the band over the summer season, and have now all decided to sign on a long term basis.

What a coup this is for the band. These are all players I know very well, and know they all have the right level of commitment and attitudeMD, Derek Johnston

Coup

Derek told 4BR: "What a coup this is for the band. These are all players I know very well, and know they all have the right level of commitment and attitude.

The Torquay contest will give us a chance to see where we are ahead of the area contest next year."

The band has also booked experienced conductor and band trainer David Hirst for a weekend to help in their preparation.
