Lingard takes new lead at Brighouse

Stuart Lingard will be leading Brighouse & Rastrick in another role in future.

Brighouse & Rastrick has appointed Stuart Lingard as the first Professional Business Development/Band Manager in their 132 year history.

Stuart has also held the position of Principal Cornet since 2010, and was chosen after a 3 month selection process which saw over 30 internal and external applications for the role.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include managing and enhancing the band’s engagement diary, developing innovative collaborations, partnerships and overseeing community impact projects, as well as overseeing their various day to day functions, investments and property management requirements.

Ideal choice

Band President Paul Beaumont told 4BR: "The running a top flight band is getting more and more complex and subsequently demands more of a time commitment from everyone involved.

We now feel that this has gone past the level where it is appropriate to rely purely on the goodwill of our players and dedicated volunteers. We were pleased that Stuart proved to be an ideal choice and that we were able to offer him this professional role."

Well established

He added: "Stuart has a well-established career as performer and teacher, but prior to this held key management and administration positions in the health sector."
