The 2013 Yorkshire & Humberside Brass & Percussion workshop was recently held at Minsthorpe Community Centre where 53 students enjoyed a great day of music making and tuition.

Guidance and music

The music performed this year included ‘Berne Patrol’, ‘Vitae Lux’, ‘Portuguese Party’ and ‘Laudate Dominum’ with expert guidance coming from a star studded group of tutors including Kevin Crockford, William Rushwoth (above left), Arfon Owen, Jonathan Beatty, Philip Schwartz and John Watterson, who also produced a stunning short concert of the works at the conclusion of the day under the guidance of the outstanding course leader, Shaun Crowther.
