Beatty goes to the Edge

Jonathan Beatty will be taking taking on the role of conductor with Hade Edge Band in January.

The Yorkshire based Hade Edge Band has announced the appointment of Jonathan Beatty as their new conductor.

Well known

The well known former Grimethorpe Colliery principal trombone player and freelance musician, is the MD of Dinnington Colliery Band, and will take up his new role on 1st January.

During his time with Dinnington he has led them to the National Finals on two occasions as well as helping them to gain promotion to the Third Section. He also conducted Huddersfield University Brass to a brace of victories at the UniBrass Contest.

The band members are delighted with his appointment and are looking forward to a successful year in 2014 with Jonathan at the helmChairman Robert Turnbull
