Holdgate's helping hand for Lofthouse

Kevin Holdgate has agreed to step in at short notice to take Lofthouse 2000 to Bradford.

The experienced Kevin Holdgate, trombonist with the James Shepherd Versatile Brass has agreed to step in at short notice to direct Lofthouse 2000 Brass at the Yorkshire Regional Championships in Bradford in March.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "With MD Andrew Whitaker scheduled for an operation in February Kevin kindly agreed to step in and help the band for the contest."
