BBC Radio 3 will be broadcasting highlights from Sunday's RNCM Festival of Brass next week.

Trio to be featured

The MC for the Festival, Simone Rebello, announced during the day long event that highlights of the evening concert featuring The RNCM Brass Ensemble, Black Dyke & Foden's will be aired on BBC Radio 3 between 9.30-10pm from Saturday 1st-Friday 7th February inclusively.

Great day

On what proved to be another memorable Festival, the evening concert featured the world premiere of Simon Dobson's 'Journey of the Lone Wolf' by Black Dyke along with the return of Howard Snell to conduct Foden's.

Euphoniums on stupendous form

David Childs was on stunning form as he featured as the guest soloist with both the RNCM & Foden's bands whilst Brighouse's Principal Euphonium, David Thornton gave the UK premiere of Paul McGhee's 'Kjeden'.

Back to the RNCM in 2015

It was also confirmed that next year's RNCM Festival of Brass will return to its Oxford Road base after the refurbishment of the main concert hall which will have an increased capacity of around 700 seats.
