Time and place

The Convention will take place the weekend of Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th March at The Holiday Inn, Crest Way Barnwood, Gloucester, GL4 3RX, where there will be a full programme of events to go with the annual general meeting.

Talks this year will be given by composer Gavin Higgins on the art of composition, Dr John Hall on psychological considerations in awareness and performance and Iwan Fox on improving media communications.

An open rehearsal will be given by the City of Cardiff (Melingriffith) Band led by Gareth Ritter with Russell Gray giving an analysis on the Senior Trophy set work, ‘Les Franc Juges’, whilst the brilliant James Shepherd Versatile Brass will provide the formal Saturday evening concert.
