"This event is a great chance for both brass followers and those with a more general musical interest to come along and experience a variety of pieces from the brass band repertoire.

There’s also some friendly inter-county rivalry between the bands as Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire all fight for supremacy ahead of the main contest in Bedworth next month".

Five bands will be in attendance performing all the pieces with Duncan Beckley & John Roberts giving their opinions — 4BR
