Harper to lead conducting workshop

Now's your chance to learn all about the conducting art from Cory's Musical Director — but you have to be quick!!!

Both established and budding conductors are being invited by the Cornwall Brass Band Association to attend a one day workshop led by Cory MD, Philip Harper.

What is it?

The 2013 4BR Conductor of the Year will be untangling the question, ‘What is Conducting?’ through topics covering basic baton technique, rehearsal techniques, understanding and preparing a score, player management skills and programme planning.

The event takes place on Saturday 17th May at the Tuckingmill Pavilion, Camborne.

Interactive

The day will hopefully see delegates be fully prepared to be interactive and discuss the topics with Philip, as well as conducting the Camborne Junior Contesting Band. Later in the day Philip will be leading the Cory Band in concert.
