Oldham night life set for ElectroHorn project launch

The clubbers of Oldham will be getting a first taste of a new conceptual fusion late on Sunday night...

Electro Horn

A top rated Oldham nightclub is set to host the world premiere of a new dance music concept that its inventors hope will take the entertainment industry by storm.

Brainwave

The Rochdale based ElectroHorn Project brings the unique sound of a live brass ensemble, drums, and soulful vocals to the medium of electronic dance music, and is the brainwave of composers and brass specialists Dave Collins and Sam Cheshire.

The 22 year olds have worked in collaboration with Austonley Brass, some of the country’s best dance music musicians and rising vocal star Katie Brisbourne, for what they call ‘a conceptual fusion’, which will receive its first public airing at the award winning Liquid & Envy venue on Sunday 25th May.

Passions

Dave told 4BR: "I’m a big fan of contemporary dance music, but also love the big sound of a live band. I wanted to bring those two passions together and have achieved my ambition with this project.

We have a 10 piece horn line from Austonley Brass, supported by the vocals and drums, so the overall sound is so exciting and will definitely blow clubbers away."

Innovative

The ElectroHorn Project has already been signed by one of the country’s leading artist booking agencies, Big Bang Management without even playing their first gig.

Liquid & Envy’s general manager Terry Bruce added: “I’ve been involved in the entertainment industry for over 30 years and this is the most exciting project I’ve ever been part of.

To integrate live music on this scale with electronic dance music is incredibly adventurous, but from what I’ve heard already, I guarantee ElectroHorn will be a resounding success."
