New changes at Wright & Round

There have been some important changes at the famous publishing company.

Philip Harper

The Wright & Round Ltd Company has announced several organisational changes following the retirement of Managing Director Roger Thompson.

Retirement

After over 25 years of service, Roger has decided to take a well earned rest from his involvement in the famous publishing company, bringing to an end a business partnership with colleagues and friends Ken Sawyer and Brian Last which started nearly 40 years ago.

Respected

Ken told 4BR: "We started a computer typesetting company together from scratch and gradually built it into one of the largest and most respected businesses in that industry.

Roger, with his musical background always had the urge for us to get into the music publishing business and when Wright & Round became available, that’s where it all began for us."

New setup

Ken and Brian will continue to oversee the business side of Wright & Round, with Rachel Jones as Systems Administrator. Music Editor Philip Harper (above) will take charge of all musical and engraving matters.

Speaking of future plans Philip added: "We're very proud of Wright & Round's history, and will continue to respect the old values, as well as pushing forward into a new era."
