No more bad dreams for Dobson

The results of a highly infectious new musical project has just been launched by composer Simon Dobson...

Simon Dobson

Composer Simon Dobson has just released a video of his latest musical project — a highly infectious, mix of genres, from dubstep to classical, that the Cornishman calls ‘something which I wanted to call my own’.

Good dream

Entitled, ‘Euneirophrenia’ it marks in his words, ‘where he is at the moment’ as a composer, and is inspired by the highly personal feelings of waking up in the morning after experiencing a good dream — the exact opposite to the anxious, crippling, depressive state that comes after a sleep interrupted by nightmares — something that he has also suffered from in the past.

I hope it gets to as many people as possible. It’s not a brass band record at all — I just want people who like new music, done well, to listen to itSimon Dobson

Friends

Recorded with friends and fellow musicians, Simon hopes it will see his music reach an even wider audience: "I hope it gets to as many people as possible. It’s not a brass band record at all — I just want people who like new music, done well, to listen to it."

One thing is for certain — it is amazingly catchy…
