Flixton announce end of Curtis five year tenure

The musical partnership between the Flixton Band and MD Steve Curtis has come to an end.

4BR has been informed that the five year musical partnership between the Flixton Band and Musical Director, Steve Curtis has come to a mutual end.

Great success

During his tenure Steve has had great success with the band, taking them from the Third to First Section. He has also enjoyed success with the band at local competitions as well as the Whit Friday contests.

Rewarding

Band Manager Paul Thomason told 4BR that it has been very rewarding for the band to have worked with Steve over the last five years.

"He has introduced us to some very progressive and challenging music which we have used in our concerts and these have been well received by the audiences."

He added: "On behalf of the band we thank Steve for his hard work and inspiration and wish him every success in his future musical projects."

The band will be shortly inviting applications for the position of Musical Director through 4BR.
