4BR has been informed that the closing date for the Foden's Solo Contest to be held on the 1st November is fast approaching.

Judges

The adjudicators who have been given the difficult task of adjudicating 19 classes will be Glyn Williams, Anthony Galinier, Glenn Van Looy and percussion judge Chris Bastock.

Last year over 170 competitors competed in the contest travelling from Belgium, Ireland, Holland, Scotland and Wales to attend what is becoming the most popular solo contest in the country.

Looking forward

Event co ordinator Fiona Rolfe told 4BR: "Foden's is once again looking forward to hosting what will be another successful solo contest at Sandbach School on the 1st November.

We have an expert panel of adjudicators as well as some great prizes which include bursaries, commissions, foreign travel and trophies across all the sections."

if you want to be a part of a great day then get your entry in by the closing date of 27th SeptemberFiona Rolfe

Huge entries

Fiona added: "We will also have various trade stands and refreshments, so it’s not surprising that we have already had a huge number of entries — so if you want to be a part of a great day then get your entry in by the closing date of 27th September.”
