The Butlins Mineworkers Championship has confirmed to 4BR that due to unforeseen circumstances, they can now invite two bands to compete in the lucrative Championship Section contest in January.
12 bands
It is still envisaged that the contest with its £10,000 first prize will contain 12 bands, although at present there is room to accept two more invitations.
Contact immediatley
Contest Administrator, Brain Eggleshaw told 4BR: “Due to unforeseen circumstances we are able to invite two Championship Section bands to take part in the 2015 contest. Bands wishing to take up these places should contact me immediately.”
Brian also confirmed that he has received an excellent response from bands in the other sections.
