Don't stop me now...

If you do feel like taking to the roads to get fit, why not try and do it to a brass band arrangement of one of these top 20 ultimate running songs...

One for all you brass band fitness freaks out there who enjoy nothing more than pounding the roads for mile after mile getting yourself fit for the contest season ahead.

Ultimate running songs

Runner’s World magazine has come up with the list of top 20 ‘Ultimate Running Songs’ to help you on your way — some of which we are sure have already been given the brass band arrangement treatment – including the number 1 jogger’s favourite – ‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ by Freddie Mercury and Queen.

It tops a list that includes a piece of 1980’S big hair/spandex with ‘Eye of the Tiger’ by Survivor in second place, closely followed by the addictive twinkle of ‘Happy’ by Pharrell Williams.

The Prodigy

Oddly — there is also a bit of The Prodigy, and even a touch of Irish 70’s punk with The Undertones, but no Led Zeppelin or ELO’s feel good classic ‘Mr Blue Sky’ — although, not surprisingly, ‘Chariots of Fire’ does sneak in.

So the next time you put on your trainers and take to the road, why not see if you can run along to a brass band arrangement one of these top 20 favourites...
