The popular Ripon Entertainment Contest will once again be held at the magnificent medieval Ripon Cathedral Saturday 30th May.

Hosted by Ripon City Band, the contest provides an opportunity for Third and Fourth Section, Unregistered and Youth bands to compete in a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere whilst providing an enthusiastic audience with 20 minute entertainment programmes.

There are a number of awards up for grabs — with a top prize of £250, plus a host of others — from ‘Best Soloist’ to ‘Best March’ and ‘Best Hymn Tune’.

The closing date for entries is 7th February.
