The All Party Parliamentary Group for Brass Bands is currently researching provision by Music Education Hubs for tuition in brass bands instruments and performance opportunities in school and county or borough youth bands.

Extent and impact

The Group is also trying to gauge the extent and impact on Music Education Hubs of any cuts to local authority budgets specifically affecting the teaching of brass band instruments and the operation of youth bands.

A questionnaire has been circulated to all Music Hub leaders and readers who teach or have any other involvement in the sector could helpfully enquire to see if their local Music Hub has sent a response.

Deadline

The deadline for the return of completed questionnaires is the end of February.
