Geneva Musical Instruments is to become an associate sponsor of the North of England Regional Brass Band Championships.

The event takes place at its new home at the Gala Theatre in Durham on the weekend of the 14th/15th March, with the Regional committee telling 4BR of their delight that the leading manufacturer is once again supporting the competition.

Regional Secretary, Tony Griffiths told 4BR: “We are delighted that Geneva has once again come on board, providing prestige and sustainability to the regional event. It is a huge boost for our contest, and we look forward to developing a strong professional relationship with them.”

That support will see a brand new Championship Section trophy will be presented by Geneva this year.

Tony added: “Banding in the North of England remains strong. Our future development and sustainability is under scrutiny, and backing from companies such as Geneva is a welcome boost.

Tim Oldroyd of Geneva added: “We are delighted to be able to work with Tony and the team. The North of England Brass Band Championships is my local contest and I’ve enjoyed some special moments there.
