The Yorkshire Regional Committee has announced that it is looking for volunteers to help them continue to run and develop the Area Championship event.

Opportunity

Over the past year, three members of the hard working committee have retired and a new constitution has been adopted to give the opportunity for representatives from competing bands to be elected to the committee.

Skills and enthusiasm

It is hoped that interested people can use their professional skills or just their love and enthusiasm for the brass band movement to help maintain the Championship at the forefront of the contesting in the UK.

Time and place

An AGM will be held on Sunday 19th April at the Holiday Inn in Wakefield commencing at 11.00am and bands are urged to support this imitative by their attendance to help elect a new generation of representatives.
