New flugel lead at Besses Boys

Steph Coward has taken on the full time role of flugel horn at Besses Boys Band.

Besses Boys

Besses Boys Band has announced the signing of Steph Coward as their new flugel horn player.

Following impressive performances on front row cornet at the Preston and Area contests this year, Steph was offered the role by MD James Holt.

Delighted

He told 4BR: “I’m delighted Steph has agreed to take the position with us. We first met a few years ago and I was aware she wasn’t playing with anyone.

I initially contacted her to help out at the two contests but since the flugel seat was available I had no hesitation offering her the job — and I’m delighted she has joined on a permanent basis.”

Thanks

He added: “I would like to thank Tom Ridgley who now returns to his position on the front row.”
