Closing date looms for Newtown event

Bands are being reminded that the closing date of May 1st is fast approaching for bands wishing to enter the popular Newtown (Mid Wales) March & Open Air Contest to be held on Sunday 14th June.

15 minute programme

The contest consists of a short march along Newtown High Street, followed by a 15 minute programme which must contain a contest march, two verses of a hymn from the ‘Red Books’ and one other own choice piece of music

The music adjudicator will be John Winterflood.
