Band Supplies have offered their congratulations to Grimethorpe Colliery Band following their British Open victory at Symphony Hall in Birmingham on the weekend.

Outstanding relationship

Managing Director Ronnie Tennant told 4BR: "We have enjoyed an outstanding relationship as the major supplier of instruments to Grimethorpe Colliery Band for many years, so it was wonderful to see them reclaim the British Open title after a 24 year wait under Dr Robert Childs."

He added: "Band Supplies continues to work closely with Grimethorpe and Besson to meet their instrument needs — and we were proud to recently supply Michael Dodd with his brand new Besson Prestige euphonium for their Australian tour."

Second to none

Grimethorpe's star principal cornet player and Besson artist Roger Webster returned the compliment: "I have worked with Ronnie and Band Supplies for many years, and the quality of the service and expert knowledge that goes behind what they do is second to none.

They are very much a part of this latest Grimethorpe success."
